Lake Park Community Church is a historic Reformed and Confessional community, emphasizing the historic faith as taught by Jesus, proclaimed by the Apostles, the early church, and recaptured by the Reformers. We believe the church is an inherently multiethnic and multigenerational organism, so we seek to be an organic expression of the Kingdom of God
WHO WE ARE
WORSHIP
We believe worship belongs to the Lord and is offered to Him as He prescribes. As such, our service is Word centered – we read it, sing it, and pray it! We also seek to bridge the historic with the contemporary, as all ecclesial music forms were contemporary at one time, but we steer clear of trying to be innovative.
Pastor David is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary Houston (MDiv) as well as Texas A&M University Corpus Christi (BBA Management). He has a zeal for teaching God’s holy Word, reaching the lost, and seeing God’s Kingdom expand across the globe! He comes by way of Christ Presbyterian Church (Houston, TX.), and Park Cities Presbyterian Church (Dallas, TX). He has planted a presbytery of three churches in La Paz, Bolivia, and is co-founder of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Bolivia. David is married to his wonderful wife, Robyn, with whom he shares an adult daughter, Courtney.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and is without error in the original autographs. The Scriptures are the only infallible judge for matters of life and faith.
Man and Sin
We believe that all men are sinners, separated from God and under his wrath and curse. Further, we believe that unregenerate men are unable to save themselves, or do anything to merit their own salvation. We believe that in their natural state they are unable and unwilling to seek after God.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by God’s grace alone, by which God draws men to Jesus by the Holy Spirit, giving them a new nature through which they see their need of Christ, repent of their sins, and trust in the Lord Jesus as he is offered in the Gospel. Because God alone knows his sheep, the Gospel is proclaimed to all men calling them to faith and repentance.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, without beginning or end. We believe that he became man, fulfilled God’s Law, and died to atone for the sins of his people. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives Christians that daily grace and strength they need to live a holy life that brings glory and honor to God.
The Return of Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus now rules and reigns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We believe that he will, at the end of the age, return to earth, visibly, physically, and gloriously, to judge all men and to receive his Church to himself.
The Westminster Standards
In addition to the statements of belief above, our pastor and leaders subscribe to the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Larger, and Shorter Catechism. We believe the Westminster Standards are the purest, clearest expression of the historic Christian faith recovered at the Protestant Reformation.
